Sorry about not posting. So on Saturday I did nothing, same for Sunday, but on Monday I had my horse riding lesson, at the end of my lesson, my stirrups came out and I didn't have enough energy left to stay in the saddle, so plop onto the ground I go, unfortunately I forgot the most important when falling off- NEVER stick your arm out to shield you, and really badly sprained my wrist. No riding for me for an entire month! :'(
Horse Riding Tips of the Day:
When cantering, and your stirrups come lose, bring your horse back to trot and POST! Posting is SO important when you are bringing your horse down from the canter. If you are going to fall here's some tips:
1. Don't brace yourself, as this tightens the muscles and will cause more pain and injury.
2. Don't stick your arm out to break the fall- you are more likely to break the arm.
3. Try to hold the reins so your horse doesn't rush off.
Ta-Ta!
